BN 9942 was built in March 1950 as CB&Q 9942A. In March 1970, it became BN 9942. Two years later in August 1972, it was sold to Amtrak and was their 337. It would be sold for scrap in May 1975. 9942 was one of a select few E-Units to get the full coat of Cascade Green during the 1970s.
