McFarlane Halo REACH Series 4 Mongoose with Red Team Scout Vehicle Pack
Ahhh, ever since Halo REACH came out, I've always needed a Mongoose like this for my figures! This and the normal UNSC Neutral colored Mongoose are both coming out of this Series 4. Now, as useful as Mongeese are, I just cant get around why McFarlane would put out two of the same vehicle in the same series! Now yes, I really love this Red Team Scout with one of my favorite helmets: the scout variant, but do we really need two mongoose packs? A falcon would be a great Multi-figure Pack, but apparently, Our wishes don't appear to be being considered. But on to the actual pack: Mcfarlane captured the mongoose's essence to the letter and the paint job on both appears to be quite good as it appears to be on all of these Series 4 figures, and thank god that this series doesnt appear to be like Series 6 of the Halo 3 action figure line in which numerous problems happened on several of the figures and vehicles there. the only bone I have to pick with this and the Mongoose-Noble 6 pack is, I'm sorry, but I was really looking for more origionality in the vehicle packs in this series, but unfortunatly, this appears to be how they plan to make their way through this line and yet, at the same time, I'm awfully inpressed with just how well the sculting on both of these vehicles are. Now to the conclusion of all this endless banter: If you are trying to decide which mongoose pack you should get, I would have to say get the Noble 6 one. Even though this would be the second time in this series that we see him, the neutral UNSC Paint job on his mongoose is just more useful than a bright red one we see here; but even so, do NOT miss out on getting the figure from this pack! I'd suggest going on ebay and buying him seperate and loose than spending two times the money to get the duplicate of a vehicle you already have just in a different color. But here ends this Pre-Release review and thats all I have for you on this pack, check out some of the other preliminary pictures here on my photostream for more in-depth reviews! Thanks guys, and see you next time!
