Today I was outside in my alley for over an hour splashing around from mud puddle to puddle attempting to synchronize the timing of my camera capture with the crash-splash landing of me in the mud.
It was not quite as easy as I had thought it would be. and so it went; beep,beep,beeeep! - jump-splash! quickly I would run and look at the picture in my camera and either throw my arms up in a victorious "HAH!" or reset the timer with a sad little "awe!" and slump back over to the puddle to go at it again.
It did not even occur to me what a spectacle I was making of myself. Until one at a time, five of my neighbors came outside to ask me if I was Ok, or what in the world was I doing out here! One by One I would get blank stares as I tried to explain "well, it's a 365 picture you see!" or "I'm learning the different effects that shutter speed has on water" then finally I would sigh and say "it's art! that's all, Im just making art!" "Oh" they would say, as they nodded their heads at me probably thinking "she is one of those crazies!"
