Athyrium Filix-Femina
The deciduous Lady Fern is a seedless vascular plant.
Lady Ferns grow in moist, shady areas, mostly in woods and along streams.
Ranging from 40 to 100 cm. long, the fronds are divided into 20-30 leaflet pairs.
The alternating leaflets are up to 15 cm. long and are further divided into 30-60 smaller divisions.
Each tiny leaf on the leaflet is 1 to 2 cm. long and follows an alternating pattern.
On the underside of each frond are spores.
