Basic frame unassembled.
This is the standard large dog cart frame. The only things missing in this pic is the wood dowel. Every 3/4" cart has wood dowel inserted in the axle tubes which you see assembled with the 4 holes drilled for height adjustment. That dowel is held in place before drilling with a #10 pan head self-tapping screw. Every cart also has dowel installed in the horizontal tubes that are on each side of the dog. So basically when you figure the length of your cart that entire length will be filled with dowel. What this does is provide extra strength for the PVC and the glue that holds it together. The are six pieces that make up the sides and on the straps are installed there are multiple screws drilled into the wood which is one piece and it basically helps hold everything together. Also, when I complete the carts I turn them over and shoot screws into every critical joint for added strength and safety. This is not a building material of choice but it is what we're stuck with and built properly is very durable.
