Tilltac CMP-250 Cyclone

Ok, I may have lied about the new direction thing... haha.

I stumbled across a Glock conversion made by HERA where the handgun sat inside a body/stock, making it an SMG, and I knew I had to do something with the frame. I really, REALLY liked the shape of it. I couldn't resist.

This is the compact model, ideal for concealablility and mobility in tight quarters. The full-sized model, the LMP-250, can be found here: www.flickr.com/photos/53780996@N08/5007738674/

My solution was to take the body shape and build a dedicated SMG using the internals of my 9MM RS9. This is the result.

The CMP-250 is the future of UZI-type machine pistols. Its ultra-compact, fiber-reinforced polymer body houses rock-solid RS9 internals inside a titanium shell- but with more room in the rear of the gun, the system was revised so that the bolt travels on a softer spring a longer distance. This allows for less recoil and a slightly lower and far more controllable rate of fire.

The barrel is almost directly centered in front of buttplate, so recoil pushes straight back- making for almost zero muzzle climb.

Picatinny rails on the top and bottom of the receiver are useful in mounting optics and foregrips. This unit, my own personal weapon, sports a folding foregrip and a Tilltac Tru-Mark holographic sight.
