Early Computers

Computers have been an important tool at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory since its inception. Researchers utilized UNIVAC computers in the early 1950s, and now have access to some of the fastest supercomputers in the world to support stewardship of the nation's nuclear weapons as well as for basic science research.
