Embarrassingly enough, having been taking photos since 2007 and living less than a hour away, I hadn't shot freight ops on the ARA until January 2018. I was fortunate enough to find two different crews out and about with centercabs on this day, with both of the the ARA "Classic" units and not the darker painted newer engine. After this shot I realized that I was low on gas, so I shot up to Curriers and headed over to Chaffee to fill up. Unfortunately that gas station was closed, so I made a mad dash back to Arcade. On the way back I bumped into a southbound coke train on the BP, so I took that down to Ashford and got back to the Reisdorf Mill in North Java just in time to find these departing southbound in good light. This railroad is an awesome time, with the centercabs really getting put to work moving cars to the mill and back, usually in good light both ways during the longer days of the year.
