Long, thoughtful swim in the rain

Wake up early on Sunday morning, compelled to go swimming in the rain. As I pull into the parking lot I worry that I'm the only one crazy enough to do this, and the life guards will be annoyed that they have to go and sit out in the rain to watch over me. So English. But when I get there I find that I have two equally deranged companions. An attractive young women (and they're all young now), who it's a pleasure to watch undressing in the drizzle, and another guy ."I'm not sure this was such a good idea" I hazard,. "It's the right thing to do" he replies, "it stinks and it's going to be freezing, but it's the right thing to do". And so the three of us dive in together. And it's beautifully cold and refreshing. Pool in the rain. "Don't tell me no jokes, 'cause I'm not gonna laugh"
