Little girl at the monastery - Shan state, Myanmar (Burma)

Same girl than the previous picture, this time I found her so beautiful in this light that I asked to get a portrait from her.

She knew quite well how to pose, she put her head directly in the sun.

 

This beautiful little girl is from the Pa-O ethnic group, we can easily recognize the women with their traditional red scarf they put in their head to protect themselves from the sun. It is quite touching to see how this tradition is well preserved among the generations and I wish they will keep doing that for a long time.

 

This little girl was help to welcome the trekkers who were arriving in the monastery to spend the night. She is from the village next to the monastery and was bringing tea to the people. How sweet was it.

 

We exchanged couple of word in burmese and english, she was not shy at all, maybe used to see some foreigners traveling and sleeping in the monastery of her village.
