Alter Ego Self Portrait
My alter ego is someone who is fearless and afraid of nothing, as I, myself, can be a very cowardly person. In my alter ego self portrait, I am growing into someone who is brave and who will open the dark, mysterious door. There are multiple me's, to convey to idea of turning into my alter ego.
The dark door in the photo represents fear and uncertainty. Your eyes scan from the left of the photo to the right, where I am turning from a person cowering in the corner, to someone standing up to fear, and facing it.
For my alter ego self portrait, I used a technique of layering in photoshop to combine different photos into one. I also used a small shutter remote to set off the shutter to capture the image.
