"Who Was I? What Happened to Me?"
This skeleton was found in between Jamaica Bay and the lake in Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge. This area, about 100 yards wide, transitions quickly from beach, to tall grasses/marsh, to thick reeds to lake.
Can you use your detective skills? What was this creature, and what happened to it? It's total length was about 12-15" (30-38 cm), and was found at the edge of the thick, tall reeds nearest the lake.
