"The Spirit of Wyoming"

The State Emblem of Wyoming, the "Cowboy State", is a "Bucking Horse and Rider", and the State Sport is "Rodeo".

 

So, this large-scale bronze sculpture on the West lawn of the State Capitol Building is entirely appropriate. The statue and its base stand18 feet tall (5.5m), and is named by the sculptor, Ed Fraughton, "The Spirit of Wyoming".
