Spiderwort

Spiderwort (Tradescantia virginiana) is a native species found in edges of woodlands and in thickets. This picture is a typical example of a terminal cluster of flowers with three violet petals, accented with small golden stamens. Their leaves are long and pointed, resembling iris leaves.
