Quiet Marsh Reflections and Mottled Duck Pair

A pair of Mottled Ducks slowly paddled through the quiet marsh at Celery Fields Nature Area, Florida. They superficially resemble female Mallards, and sometimes will crossbreed with Mallards. In the picture, the male with the yellow bill trails the female.

Mottled Ducks are found along the Gulf Coast, primarily in Florida and Texas.
