Mission Point Lighthouse
Mission Point Lighthouse, built in 1870, guided ships through West Traverse Bay, until it was decommissioned in 1933. Today, it is owned by Peninsula Township, and is staffed mainly by volunteers. A small fee is charged, and donations are accepted to view the museum and to climb the stairs to the top of the lighthouse.
