#248 Monk Parakeet (Explored)
A colony of Monk Parakeets, one of the many invasive species in Florida, was observed on Cape Coral, Florida. Since they are non-migratory, they are there to stay. (Another invasive parakeet species is shown in the first comment below).
They are colorful, but they are also noisy and aggressive. This colony had constructed a large nest made of sticks in a light tower at an athletic field.
