Spring in Northern Michigan #1

We drove five hours to the northern counties of Michigan's Lower Peninsula, just for a little "get-away", but hoping to get some new wildlife pictures.

This was day 1, on Old Mission Peninsula, which separates East and West Grand Traverse Bays (Lake Michigan). A light rain fell from the featureless gray sky, the wind was stiff, and the temperatures fell below freezing each night.

This was the only open water observed. "Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse". BTW, this is a color photo.
