Sapsucker

The gentle drizzle had just stopped. My daughter spotted this Red-naped Sapsucker preening in a dead pine tree. I took over 50 pictures of it, climbing over the boulders trying to get a clear shot, which was never accomplished. This picture however does clearly show the identifying field marks. The white chin identifies this as a female Red-naped Sapsucker.
