Fire and Ice

There was still plenty of snow in the high mountains in mid-May. In fact, in one day of our trip, we were bogged down in a snowstorm, but not on this day!

 

The fire-red rock formations in the mid-ground is The Garden of the Gods; the highest snowy peak is Pike's Peak.
