"Lonely Ride, Somewhere in Time"

"Mr. Redwings" is in a 1907-era Brooklyn Union Elevated Car. Built by Jewett Car Co. of Newark, Ohio, the wooden-bodied cars were self-propelled on electrified lines.

 

Seen at the New York Transit Museum, Brooklyn, NY. The museum is housed underground in a subway station decommissioned in 1945. The trains roll out in summertime, giving rides on NYC subway tracks.
