Cool Shade Under Glen Span
The Glen Span Arch Bridge is in the Northwest corner of Central Park. It was built by Calvert Vaux in 1865 of light-colored gneiss rock. As there was a blazing sun, this lady stopped to rest in the cool shade under the bridge.
