The mysterious Mr. Banksy, urban street artist extraordinaire, made a 2014 "art showing" in New York City. He was not welcomed by then-Mayor Bloomberg who disparaged street art as defacement of property. Some of the "Banksy" one-a-day paintings were quickly painted over.
This painting, reminiscent of Banksy, was seen on the outer wall of " Petite Crevette", a restaurant in Brooklyn, New York. Someone must feel that it is authentic since it is covered with protective glass. But it is not listed in articles that document the paintings made when Banksy was known to be in the city.
It shows a rat painting the message: "Buy Buy Bloomberg". Seen at the intersection of Hicks St. and Union St.
