Sunny Days on the Promenade
"...If you come down to the river,
Bet you gonna find some people who live..."
(John Fogerty of Credence Clearwater Revival, 1969 song "Proud Mary")
Although a bit chilly on that afternoon, it was sunny and a lot of people were on the promenade. Some were having lunch, playing a guitar or just sitting together to watch the Seine go by (all three of those groups are in the picture.)
This promenade under the chestnut trees is on the Right Bank, looking into Le Pont de la Tournelle (Tournelle Bridge, 1928).
