1.) I chose this subject and setting because it contains many different elements but it is simple. Funny I picked this photo and the ball went in on this one too.
2.) The photo is in wide angle to include the shooter and the basket on opposite edges of the frame. The basketball in the air in the middle helps create a connecting curved line from the shooter, to the ball, to the basket. This gives the viewer a sense of motion and flow in the photo and is easy to connect. The sunlight coming through out of the frame, highlights the two main trees apparent in the photo. I also liked how the sunlight is very narrow and only shines through on the trees, thin line in the grass, and up to the trees in the left side in the bakground. This helps for depth in the picture and differentiates those trees, from the shadowed darker trees.
3.) I chose a small aperture of 3.2 to create a shallow depth of field, and had ISO at 100 because of the quality of the picture.
