Hanging On – the Colorado Red Mountain mining district

Autumn along the aptly named Million Dollar Highway in SW Colorado, above Ouray. This deserted mining town here is at about 10,700 feet above sea level (3261 meters). Those mountain peaks are at about 13,300 ft (4054 m). One of the most remarkable drives I have ever taken in my life.

As always, thanks very much for all of your kind comments and favorites. They are greatly appreciated!
