Valley View August Reflections
Further evidence of how many different looks you can get from this very same spot. Even on the same day.
Here, I turned the polarizing filter down a bit, and got down low in a spot where I could get a largely unbroken expanse of calm water. This way, I could get the deep blue sky, as well as a balanced combination between the reflections and the clarity of the water and the rocks below its surface.
7-shot HDR image made from RAW files taken hand-held with an Olympus OM-D E-M5 camera and M.Zuiko 12-50mm lens, exposure bracketed at nine frames per second, 12mm focal length (24mm FF equivalent), ISO 200, 1/30-sec, f/14, with a Hoya circular polarizing filter turned about halfway. Merged and tonemapped in Photomatix Pro 4.2.
