Yosemite Swinging Bridge Reflections

Mai'a reflected in the clear waters of the south fork of the Merced River, upstream from Wawona, in Yosemite National Park, California.

One shot, processed from a RAW file. One of the great things about the Olympus OM-D E-M5 is its dynamic range. It's amazing just how much shadow and highlight detail is captured in both RAW and even JPEG files by this camera. I exposed this shot for the brightest areas, with the lower half of this image very, very dark. But a little work with sliders in ACR/PSE10, and it's all there.

It is a bright scene with a lot of detail, so it is definitely best seen large on black: click on the photo or hit "L" on your keyboard.

Replaced the original with a straightened and perspective-shifted version on 11 July 2012. Sadly, I could do nothing about the shirtless dude. ;o)

Thanks very much, everyone, for stopping by. And extra special thanks for your comments and favorites!
