East Yosemite Ice and Sky

Mount Dana, at 13,061 ft (3,981 m) the second-tallest peak in Yosemite National Park, reflected in the waters of still partly-frozen Tioga Lake, at the park's eastern entrance on the last day of May after 2014's very light winter. I have seen it look like this a month, or even two months later, after a big winter like last year's. Here's hoping the coming winter will bring with it heavy snows, to help keep California's ongoing drought at bay.
