Sawmill Falls Green

The wonderfully lush greens of the Opal Creek Ancient Forest complement the color of the glacier-fed waters of the forest's namesake, at Sawmill Falls, one of my favorite spots in this part of the Cascade Range of west-central Oregon.

 

What I wouldn't give to be there right now and plunge into those cold waters to escape this unseasonable Boston heat.
