Springtime in the Yosemite High Country

Looking across Tuolumne Meadows past Lembert Dome, towards the still snow-dusted Mount Dana in the distance. Dana – at 13,061 ft (3,981 m), the second-highest peak in the park – usually has a lot more snow on it in late May than this. But this was a few years ago, in the middle of the drought, after a winter with very low total snowfall.

Here's hoping this year's and last years's trends will continue, and we don't see too many more drought conditions.
