Croatian Color
The red tiles, blue skies, and white clouds of Dubrovnik, Croatia. The main church in this shot is St. Sebastian's (Crkva sv. Sebastijana): built in 1466 by Mihoč Radišić and Vlatko Dešković, near the Ploče gate, with the express purpose of protecting the city against disease (St Sebastian is the holy protector against plague). The church is huddled up against Dubrovnik's Dominican monastery, in the northeastern corner of this beautifully preserved medieval city.
Thanks very much for stopping by, and for your continued kind comments and favorites while I have been off traveling. It is all greatly appreciated.
