Espelandsfossen

This remarkable waterfall is often missed by visitors headed to see its deservedly famous, two-branched neighbor, Låtefossen. In fact, despite its close proximity to one of Norway's most famous falls, information on Espelandsfossen has been so lacking that for years it was listed in many books as being 2,307 feet (703 m) in height, when it really only measures about 246 feet (75 m). It is pretty impressive even at its actual, more modest size – just one of dozens and dozens of similarly remarkable waterfalls in this part of fjord Norway.

Thanks for stopping by, and Happy Waterfall Wednesday!
