Missing Yosemite

As the snow continues to pile up back here in Boston, I am missing Yosemite today. I wish we could just transfer all of this snowpack to the Sierras, where it's really needed. Over here at sea level, we've had about nine feet in the past two months. Back there at 8,500 feet, they've hardly had any.

This is a scene from Tuolumne Meadows, in the eastern part of the park, from the end of May last year. There should have been snow then, too, but they're going through a multi-year drought at this point, and I really hope this changes soon, or there are going to be some pretty dire consequences.

Thanks for stopping by, and for all of your kind comments and favorites. They are greatly appreciated.
