Rabbit Island Rainbow

I was out the other day shooting long exposures of the surf breaking over lava rocks at Makapu‘u Beach when I looked to my left and saw this rainbow. I quickly swung my tripod around and fired off a couple of shots before even changing any of my settings. Which was a good thing, as this sight was gone within seconds. It just goes to show the importance of remembering to look around you even when you're focused on one particular scene.

I hope you are having a wonderful holiday season. I'm doing some extensive traveling (and shooting), and will only have a chance to drop in here for an occasional moment over the coming weeks. But thanks for stopping by, and I look forward to catching up with everyone in the new year.
