Nærøyfjord Waterfall Village

Cruising along the waters of western Norway's incomparable Nærøyfjord, enjoying the fleeting gift of some blue skies to set off all of that fjord country green. One of the most beautiful places I have ever been.

The Nærøyfjord is 18 kilometers long (11 miles), is only 500 meters wide in some spots (1,600 feet), and is about 1,280 meters deep (4,200 feet) on both sides throughout its length. Since 2005, the Nærøyfjord has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it (along with the nearby Geirangerfjord) also has been rated by the National Geographic Society as the world's number one natural heritage site.

Thank you very much for stopping by, and I hope you had a wonderful first day of spring!
