Waterfalls in the Aurlandsfjord

A typical scene along the Aurlandsfjord, in Norway's Sogn og Fjordane region. Blue skies, white clouds, and waterfalls cascading down the 4,000-foot cliffs towards the fjord and the sea. Note the house perched high on the precipice at the upper left. Stunning views from there, I'm sure. What I'm less sure about is how anyone could even get to that location.

The Aurlandsfjord, like the neighboring Nærøyfjord, is a branch of the Sognefjord, the largest in Norway and a UNESCO world heritage site.
