Impression Obsession Black and White Challenge
Here is my entry for the Impression Obsession Black and White Challenge. I have used the following Impression Obsession Stamps:
CC049 - Cover-a-Card Screen
CC081 - Cover-a-Card Damask
WP118 - Word Frames
I stamped the Cover-a-Card Screen with Versamark Ink on Matte Paper (or clay coated). Then I stamped the Cover-a-Card Damask on top of that with a black dye ink. This allows the screen background to show through the Damask and creates a neat effect. I probably should have used a chalk in instead of a dye ink but I did not have any in black, so I had to heat it with a heat gun for a while to let it dry. I wanted to make a frame around the background and this is what I ended up with although I had many different ideas about this. I thought I would add flowers inside the frame but in the end decided not to. I stamped the screen background again on the frame (stamping off three times so it was not too bold), and then stamped the words. I should have used Versafine instead of sticking with the Memento Ink as you can see it is not perfect. You can view the side view as it is the next uploaded photo.
