The Tradition Continues

Aboriginal ceremonies, known as corroborees are dramatic representations, in mime and song, of the mythical history of each tribe. These ceremonies have many functions and take many forms, some to teach the youths the rules and philosophy of the tribe and the obligations that accompany them.

 

This was the first time I’d seen a young Aboriginal child partaking in the entertainment at Circular Quay as he enchanted the crowd alongside his dad who was playing the didgeridoo (a long hollow wind instrument)
