Dandelion Composite

I've always loved Keats poetry. Knowing his life was to be short he agonised about the things we take so much for granted. I wanted to capture the stages of dandelion development but realise I've missed the first stage when the head is full. No chance of remedying that today as it's rainy and windy and the heads will probably have been blown away. I aim to revisit the location and edit this pic. The deterioration stage is just as beautiful as when in its prime. Even a weed has its place in Nature

 

A Thing of Beauty (Endymion)

A thing of beauty is a joy for ever: Its loveliness increases;

it will never Pass into nothingness; but still will keep A bower quiet for us,

and a sleep Full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing.

...... yes, in spite of all,

Some shape of beauty moves away the pall From our dark spirits.

Such the sun, the moon, Trees old and young, sprouting a shady boon For simple sheep;

and such are daffodils With the green world they live in;

and clear rills That for themselves a cooling covert make 'Gainst the hot season; the mid-forest brake,.....
