Mmmm....Mmmmmm....Good!
322/365 - Our Daily Challenge - "Memory from your childhood":
I would have loved to photograph something relating to a specific memory, but how? Still, I've had fun reminiscing ever since reading the challenge. It seems most of my memories fall into two categories. First and foremost are the summer days spent practically living in the swimming pool with my siblings and neighbors. We pulled so many dangerous stunts, it's a wonder we survived. My other memories revolve around the dinner table...laughing and arguing, hunting for new hiding places for food we didn't like or, in my case, sitting at the table long after everyone else had left because I hadn't finished my meal. I was such a dawdler that my mom used to set a timer for me! I was in trouble if I didn't finish before it went off. There is no trace of the slow eater left in me!!! :) At any rate, thinking about those meals makes me remember some of the staples of American homes in the 50s and 60s...things like Campbell's Soup, Nabisco crackers, and Wonder Bread. All heavily processed and not what I would choose today, but the sight and smell of them transport me back decades. So here's my salute to the "wonder years".
