First fall color...[Explored]

282/365 - Our Daily Challenge - "Wide-Angle minimalism":

This definitely was not my challenge! I just loved the example photos in the link we were given. Loved the isolated feeling they captured. Unfortunately, we're pretty well socked in the city here...not too many wide open spaces. And after months of our boring Texas skies with no clouds, which would have been great for this challenge, we actually had plenty of clouds today. lol. I experimented with putting the horizon much higher, filling the frame with mostly water and very little sky, but I just didn't like it as well as this one. So...here it is. My best shot...no pun intended! I saw a beautiful spot as I was driving to this location....a green field with a small pond and a bank of trees behind...just green, green, with one lonely tree full of fall color. It would have been perfect, but there was no place to pull off the road and park. :( I did, however enjoy my walk around Bob Woodruff park on this crisp, cool day...and it was good for me to pull back and take a wide angle shot for a change! :)
