Manchester Velodrome Track School
When British Cycling sent the e-mail through to invite three Planet X riders to join an elite group of youth cyclist at the Manchester Velodrome we naturally said yes. The Regional School of Development funded by the Olympic talent program invite local coaches to put forward riders that will benefit from qaulity track time.Luck for us the West Yorkshire region contains three of our youth riders, Leon Gledhill, Jacob Scott and Mel Lowther.
The day started at noon and went through to early evening with plenty of track time, mainly focusing on the Madison race training which involves teams making difficult hand slings with there team mates. As the youth riders were split into groups they had to wear jerseys supplied by the coaches so it was hard to spot our riders but not our bikes.
