Peperomia oahuensis. Ko`olau Mts., Koloa Gulch, boulder 2, plant 2 at the bottom. Form with broad leaves and little reddish pigmentation. This is the only form found on this boulder.

This is one of two forms of P. oahuensis found growing in this area. A few plants were seen in the area that look like hybrids between the two forms.

Family: Piperaceae - the pepper family

Endemic to Kaua`i and O`ahu (Wai`anae and Ko`olau Mountains).
