Pathfinder Otto Mears
Sitting on the county Treasurer's counter is the punch bowl, in quadruple silver plate, given to Otto Mears by the people of Silverton. The engraved inscription reads "Presented to the Pathfinder Otto Mears For his work in restoring R. R. service Sep. 25 1909 By the people of Silverton". The bowl was shown by Otto's great grand daughter who now lives in Rifle, Colorado.
