ATF Inquiry 1976

Jerry DeKeyser, who appears to still be with us, sent a request to Modern Photo and Indiana Visual seeking hard type. He was referred to ATF in Elizabethtown, NJ and back when the post office was not automated, the good folks made a legitimate effort to get this to ATF. And ATF's usual response was to forward on to a dealer, in this case Midwest Printers Supply in Cincinnati. ATF carefully kept all these inquiries and they survive today in my ATF collection, an interesting look into how things were done pre-internet. Postage was 13 cents and it looks like at least 3 people at the post office were involved in getting the right address for ATF. The cancellation on the back of the envelope was for Elizabethport, NJ, which is zip 07206, so this made the rounds while the post office figured out who ATF was--pretty impressive. And we all know that ATF was in Elizabeth, NJ.
