This lok was built at EMD in North America and delivered to Europe in November 2003 (EMD Works No. 20038545-2).
The initial leasing company it was sold to has so far had 4 name changes following sales and mergers:
1. Porterbrook Leasing Company Ltd., Derby [GB]
2. CBRail Leasing S. r.l., Luxembourg [L]
3. Ascendos Rail Leasing S. r.l., Luxembourg [L]
4. BRLL - Beacon Rail Leasing S. r.l., Luxembourg [L]
Ironically, Beacon Rail is run out of the the UK, the same as the original company (but it is now owned by JPMorgan Chase).
Like most of the non DB Class 66 "sheds" on the European mainland, it was configured D/B/NL.
On 26 August 2004, it was leased to DB's Nederland subsidiary, Railion Nederland N.V., Utrecht [NL], numbered as EC 2.
From 2 November 2009, it was leased to SNCF Fret Benelux B.V., Antwerpen [B], later called Captrain Belgium B.V., Antwerpen [B] as 6606.
In 2012, it was on a short lease to CFL Cargo Danmark ApS, Rodekro [DK] as RL001.
It spent a few months back at Captrain with the same number from 1 July to 7 October 2013.
It then moved top its current lease with Railtraxx and its final number of 266 031-4.
It is still there late 2023 and is now 20 years old.
