Y8338 Class Sotteville Depot on 19 08 2014
A closer photo of refurbished Y8338 recently out from Sotteville Works.
This loco was originally released to traffic in June 1988.
The new builderplate states Voith on it as well as some other unreadable stuff (should have zoomed in on it!).
Voith have supplied the new hydraulic transmission in the modernisation of these shunters.
This one and Y8339 are with Akiem for lease - based at STF Mastéris
The paint job looks nice, except someone used the wrong steel on the air grilles on the side (both rusting way too much for a new paint livery!).
