3 months before its 2nd Verl expired and 155 232-2 beats an EMU to the platform with a wagonload of mainly covsteel.
155 232-2 was one of the Railpool purchased 155s - part of the DB sale and leaseback.
It was built in 1983 at LEW - VEB Lokomotivbau Elektrotechnische Werke „Hans Beimler“ Hennigsdorf (Works No. 18217) and delivered as 250 232-6 on 22 February 1984 to East Germany's Deutsche Reichsbahn.
Initially based at Halle (Saale) P for 11 years until 30 May 1995.
With Reunification and the 1 January 1994 move to Deutsche Bahn, it was renumbered to 155 232-2.
It then moved for 6 months to Leipzig Hbf West, followed by Mannheim from 27 November 1995 to 31 December 2003.
Its final home depot was Seddin, where it joined the rest of the DB 155 class from 1 January 2004.
It was part of the 1 January 2017 Railpool buy and leaseback.
Its last overhaul was 2010 (REV IS770 19/11/2010 at AW Dessau). It then received 2 annual Verl extensions until 18 November 2018.
Officially switched off on 22 November 2018, it was stored at Rostock-Seehafen where it became a parts donor.
With the COVID traffic wind down, the Railpool 155s were mainly stored with little work prospects.
With little need for parts, it was destined for demolition at Bender
It arrived on 29 April 2021 at Bender's scrapyard in a huge 18 lok convoy of 151s & 155s, and was scrapped a month later.
Scrapped 28/05/2021 at Bender Rohstoff-Recycling e.K., Leverkusen-Opladen
