OMG
What an amazing day I had today. It was one of those totally overwhelming ones.
After my day travelling around Lincolnshire yesterday, I decided to stay local and so went to a local Airbase museum open day.
As I arrive 12 or so, Jeeps pulled in, causing chaos. I managed to her past them and parked my modern motor in the carpark.
As I was walking to the museum I saw a couple of friends who spotted me and so we stood and chatted. While we did this I was aware of a few people buzzing around taking photos of us (me) .. we parted and I caught up with a few of the dancers I know, it was now time to start taking photos of the Jeeps . This one was in the perfect location. And so I set about taking photos like you do LOL.
After a few minutes, a guy came up to me and said I could sit in it if I wanted. Well of course how could one refuse. He also mentioned they were going to drive around the airfield if I was interested.... big smile from and a very enthusiastic "yeah that would be great"... as is normal with these things. I took it with a pinch of salt.
Part two to follow shortly.
